This is our biggest release so far! It encompasses 138 new features and 25 major bug fixes and countless smaller improvements. While it is always great that things are improving, but what are the new features really enabling on the customer side. In this article series of Fluidit 2.0, we try to shed some light on the latest advancements in our software frontier. Firstly we will cover something around the umbrella term “Digital Twin” and 2.0 possibilities for the utilities.
We will bring the digital twins a bit closer to reality. Inbuilt data connectors and data management tools help utilities to combine different data sources into their hydraulic model. You can now show simulated, measured, and forecasted results all in the same familiar schematic views you have created in your models. All this is in real-time. New improved visualization tools will help you create even more elaborative figures to deepen your understanding of your system.
Your model will be more accurate than ever which enables savings in investments and operational costs. Using models to detect leakage has never been easier. You will always be ready to react and to find out the best possible solution if your system suffers from interruptions. Even better, you can train yourself to be better prepared for such situations.
Digital twin applications

All our software has full UI support for building SCADA-linked models. Models that are online models or so-called digital twins. Users now have an interface to set up and test digital twin applications without the need to go into programming. This includes greatly improved data source support, now including generic JDBC, Excel, and InfluxDB sources, and the possibility to link much of the demand/inflow and control device settings data readily to time series.
Data stored in the time series components can be automatically updated from its source SCADA system or files. As part of this transition, all the software support setting the simulation and reporting time range separately for each scenario. Users can now easily transfer the scenarios they have used for design purposes into operational use inside the same model, by having a separate operational scenario that is linked to measurements and SCADA data.

There’s now even more flexibility for the user as it is possible to manage how external data (SCADA, measurements), internal data (time series), and model results are displayed and handled. By defining dynamic time range and post-processing strategies, our users can now combine data from different sources to create informative charts on the system’s past, current, and future conditions.
This infrastructure makes Fluidit software an operational tool where all the information comes together, is processed, and displayed in real-time. Contact us to discuss the possibilities of Fluidit software and digital twins Contact.
Licensing
For multiutilities, we also have the possibility to bundle licenses. For instance, one bundle license allows you to use two or more of our software with a single license. Our licenses continue to be limitless in terms of model sizes. All of these keep our licensing simple and effective.
